Streaming is fundamentally changing the business model for recorded music, but the consequences for musicians regarding this are still unclear. Based on streaming-data from Koda and WiMP the linkage between the patterns of listening and the settlement of accounts for the musicians  will be explained, and consequences of an alternative, user-centered model of settlements will be examined.
