The award-winning documentary-director Michael Madsen (Into Eternity 2009) meets the 11-people ensemble SENATET in an innovative portrait of the young Danish composer Niels Rønsholdt.

It begins as a regular documentary: the key figure Niels Rønsholdt receives a phone call from director Michael Madsen, and agrees to film himself a number of days with a camera fastened to his body during his movements in various big cities.

Then the sound-side is taken over by SENATET, who live on stage perform Niels Rønsholdt’s own compositions to the soundless close-ups. Out of this cross grows a fascinating and original portrait, where the film adds new meaning to the music and vice versa.

The concert is supported by Aarhus Kommune, Nationalbankens Jubilæumsfond, SNYK and AUT.
