The name says it all: Nordens Tone (tone of the north) seeks different styles to find and refine the Nordic sound. In front is Julie Hjetland, who back in 2009 was rewarded with a Danish Music Award-Folk for her versatile and multi-language vocal. Nordens Tone seeks the musical universe found between Jan Johansson’s jazzy melancholy and the Nordic folk music and song traditions.
