When Kidd’s grime-inspired hit “Ik lavet penge” was released in 2011, he was hailed as the saviour of Danish rap. His popularity grew, and the media had a field day with the young rapper’s controversial statements. It got too much for him, and in 2012 he announced his retirement. Now he has let his hair grow, and he is back with the single “Brunt øje” – and new cheeky cheerfulness.
