The name Ukendt Kunstner (“Unknown Artist”) has become misleading, because with their smooth, shuffling beats and melancholy lyrics rapper Hans Philip and producer Jens Ole McCoy have long since stolen the limelight. In addition to a busy tour schedule and plenty of airplay, the duo’s debut album ‘Neonlys’ has gone platinum, and they are nominated for the P3 Talent Award and the P3 Listeners’ Hit at P3 Guld 2014.
A part of the Danish hip hop scene for over a decade, S!vas has finally left the shadows behind other artists and now emerges as a solo act. Stylish to the bone, S!vas’s music introduces a brand new language, and as an artist he represents a new hip hop generation that shows traces of the American subgenre of melodious song rap.
Gilli is part of the hip hop crew B.O.C. Furthermore, he has joined forces with rap colleagues such as S!vas on the hit “d.a.u.d.a” and Nik & Jay on “Giv mig dine tanker Pt. 2”. Now he may also add actor to his CV: He plays the leading role in “Ækte Vare”, which opens in the Danish cinemas on the 8th of May.
Lord Siva, aka Brian Siva, is on the verge of breaking through in the Denmark with his rapping R&B and his laidback flow. Soundvenue has called him one of the greatest Danish R&B talents, and with excellent reviews of his debut EP as well as a rapidly growing fan base it is on the cards that Lord Siva will establish himself on the Danish music scene in 2014.
