First band revealed: Psyched Up Janis – The roots that led to The Raveonettes.
The first name for 2014’s SPOT Festival is in place: At the 20th anniversary of their debut album ”Swell” the rock group Psyched Up Janis has reformed for the occasion. The noise-oriented rock band got an English record deal, great reviews and toured both the UK, the rest of Europe and the USA before they split in 1999 – where front man Sune Wagner formed the internationally known The Raveonettes…
But Wagner still considers ”Swell” the foundation of his entire musical carrier through the past 20 years, and therefore you will be able to hear the entire thing at SPOT, which at the same time hits its festival number 20. So a double anniversary.
Deadline for application to play a showcase at the 2014 festival is December 4 (Nordic Acts can apply here).
